At Lorac Academy, we were heartbroken to see the devastation that hurricanes caused throughout North Carolina earlier this fall. Many of our friends and neighbors were affected, and we were inspired to help in whatever way we could.
We decided to partner with Everyday Church (located in Greensboro) to gather supplies and deliver them to those in need following the hurricane. After gathering the donations, we drove them down to Asheville, North Carolina. We identified the communities that were hit the hardest and took these donations directly to them.
We were humbled by the property damage done to this area by the hurricane, and we were glad we could help those trying to put their lives back together after this storm. We are thankful to everyone who donated to this cause and who helped us take donations to those affected. We know that this made a real difference, and we are still looking for more ways we can help as these communities continue to recover.
