Earn your Class A CDL at our truck driving academy.
If you are ready to start a new career as a truck driver, we recommend earning your Class A CDL as a first step. In most states, this type of CDL lets you drive any vehicle with a semi-trailer or a trailer that has two or more axles. This license also lets you drive a vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating of 26,000 pounds or more.
Additional endorsements may be needed, depending on the state where you intend to earn your Class A CDL and drive. Some of the vehicles you can typically drive with a Class A CDL include the following:
- Truck and trailer combinations
- Tractor-trailers
- Double and triple trailers
- Tractor-trailer buses
- Tanker vehicles
- Livestock carriers
- Flatbeds
