I truly enjoyed my journey at Lorac Academy. What I thought would be nearly impossible to learn from the instructors: Mr. King, Mr. Terry, and Ms. Dee certainly guided me in the proper direction.
They were all passionate and intentional in making sure each student what was needed for their next phase in life.
My two most memorable moments were... Mr. Terry looked me in the eyes and gave me a fist bump when I completed my first on-road driving. He said, "James, you did great! You did great, man"! It impacted me hard because I was homeless and the car I was sleeping in was totaled during my commute to Lorac Academy. So that word of encouragement gave me hope that this decision wasn't in vain.
And my second most memorable moment was Ms. Dee jumping up and down and then giving me a hi-5 when I did my maneuvers without any assistance.
